The village of Munlochy (1 mile) has a well stocked general store, petrol station/garage, hotel, bank and doctors surgery.
Animal/Wild life park - 2 miles.
Inverness (10 minute drive) boasts fine shops, theatre, aquadome, museum, boat trips on Caledonian canal and Loch Ness - monster and dolphin spotting!
Many places of historical interest are within easy reach: Culloden Battlefield and centre, Fort George, numerous castles, standing stones, ancient burial sites and the Pictish Trail.
The Chalet location allows the visitor to explore the West Coast or further North on a daily basis for site seeing, hillwalking, fishing, cycling.
Other sporting activities nearby include sailing, golfing and in winter a short drive will access skiing at Aviemore (1 hour).
